Did you know the Myrtle Beach area was ranked number two on a long list of best beach vacation spots in the US, and for good reason. We’ve got family friendly beaches, fantastic entertainment, and loads of great local eateries.

Speaking of great local eateries. Don’t worry about asking Siri for “restaurants near me”. You’ve gotta check out the Duck Dive Bar and Grill. That is, unless you don’t enjoy live music, delicious food, and well, fun.

From the moment you climb the stairs to their surf-shack-tree-house, owners Mike and Tara make you feel like you’re exactly where you want to be. The ceiling and walls are covered with surfboards donated by local surfers, and nothing about this place says chain restaurant. It’s unique, it’s affordable, and it’s wonderful.

I’m not trying to tell you how to live your life, but it’d be remiss of me to not tell you about my favorite item on the menu, The Grove Bowl. This bowl’s got shredded carrots, diced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, avocado, your choice of steak, chicken, shrimp, or ahi on a bed of jasmine rice or mixed greens topped with sriracha lime aioli sauce and sesame seed glaze. It’s incredible. It’s prodigious. It’s life changing. Well, maybe that’s a bit extreme, but it is delicious. Best of all, it’s right beside Salty Frye’s Golf Carts. So, when you stop by to grab your cart, you can also grab lunch.
