6 Restaurants Serving the Best Pizza in North Myrtle Beach
HEREIN YOU’LL FIND THE BEST PIZZA IN NORTH MYRTLE BEACH
DON’T LOOK AT THE END OF THIS BLOG. WE WANT IT TO BE A SURPRISE!
So, first off, here’s who will NOT be included in the list:
- Restaurants that serve pizza as a side thought
- Big chain restaurants (If they advertise on TV, they don’t need the help of our mighty blog)
- Pizzerias we either haven’t been to or don’t like, or someone there gave us the stink eye
- Places that don’t sponsor little league teams (Not really, but we’ll see. We are just getting started.)
- Restaurants that hang paraphernalia on their walls that support both the Gamecocks and Clemson, as if that’s okay
- Places with really low ratings on Yelp
- All but 6 restaurants, because we’re writing this on a Friday afternoon and, well, you get it
Let’s jump right in and survey six places dishing up the best pizza in North Myrtle Beach:
Within a beer-bellied man’s walk of the beach in Cherry Grove, Basil’s offers tasty pies of Greek influence. Crust that’s a little chewy but not tough, and great sauce – Basil’s is that hole-in-the-wall, local favorite you’ve been looking for. And although their traditional, artisan pizzas are fantastic, we’re not sure there’s a better white pizza anywhere. This will be hard to beat.
Patrons of Swing Bridge rate it high for a good reason. SBPC even won the 2020 North Strand Readers’ Choice Award, so maybe go check them out. They have something special cooking over there in Little River. And don’t snub their calzones and stromboli either. They’re superb!
King’s has truly mastered the art and science of pizza making. Perfect traditional crust and generous toppings, King’s has been killing it for 32 years. If you’re so inclined, their Zorba’s Greek Favorite Pizza with feta, black olives, tomatoes, olive oil, oregano, garlic and spinach is up there with Basil’s, and we like King’s red sauce better than Basil’s. Oh, and their subs are outrageously good, too. Can’t go wrong here!
Even though these guys have only been open 5 years, they’ve already garnered respect from the community, even winning the 2018 Herald’s Reader’s Choice Award. They offer, in our objective opinion, the best New York style pizza in the area. Come see why the locals are so in love with The Main Slice.
If you want a place with a little more class, we might recommend Rapone Brick Oven. Being a legit Italian restaurant, their artisan pizza has flair, with the highest quality toppings. This is the kind of pizza you pair with wine – you know, class in a glass. Rapone prioritizes locally sourced ingredients where possible.
Daniello’s pies are the Goldilocks of pizza. Not too doughy or tough, not too dry, not too fancy-pants. They are just balanced and tasty. You’ll find the crust is thinner than many of the other pizzas on this list, and there is a greater portion of sauce and toppings. You know how some pizza is good for quality and some for quantity? Daniello’s is pizza for both.
Well, you kept up your end of the deal and didn’t read ahead, and we promised we would pick a winner, so as soon as this little paragraph with a shameful plug is over, mosey on down and see our pick. At Salty Frye’s Golf Carts, we love our local restaurants and want you to love and support them, too. If you’re in North Myrtle Beach and you need a golf cart, just remember who was there for you when you were desperately searching for the best pizza in North Myrtle Beach.
