The South’s Grandest Christmas Show

The Alabama Theatre, located at Barefoot Landing, is home to The South’s Grandest Christmas Show! This is considered one of the top holiday shows in Myrtle Beach. This family-friendly production features some of the best talent around performing a holiday musical experience that will have you singing along and feeling jolly. 

In addition to hearing your favorite classic and modern holiday songs, guests will also be treated to beautiful costumes, special effects, amazing scenery, and tons of holiday cheer. 

If you’ve seen this show before, you’re in for a treat – while the production changes each year, there is also a new addition to the cast. Comedic Juggler Slim Chance will be joining the holiday show this year, making audiences of all ages laugh all night long.

The 2020 season of The South’s Grandest Christmas Show will begin on November 2nd and will run on select nights until January 2, 2021. Tickets may be purchased online or over the phone.

The Christmas Show of the South

The Christmas Show of the South, also known as The Carolina Opry Christmas Special, is held each year at the Carolina Opry Theater in Myrtle Beach. In addition to The South’s Grandest Christmas Show, this production is also considered one of the best holiday shows in Myrtle Beach. 

Audiences will be awed by professional singing, dancing, stage settings, special effects, and more; including holiday decor that will knock your socks off. In fact, the theater closes for an entire week to transform their space from an every-day look into what they call a “winter wonderland,” featuring over 35 decorated trees, 75 gorgeous wreaths, and over 5 miles of lighting.
